Ambition Bird is an idea I’ve been considering for awhile. I wanted to write a bit about the objects and shapes that fascinate me most. Because most of my ambitions are tied up in shapes and the making of objects, I stole an image from Anne Sexton, the ambition bird (lifted from her poem of the same name), to carry the idea. Ambition Bird is a newsletter of objects, fixations, and the creative impulse written by a ceramic artist in Los Angeles.
